Supernatural Returned This Week and It’s Full of Darkness

Supernatural is easily one of my top 5 favorite TV shows, and not just because of the beautifully rugged man candy it provides. The brotherly dynamic is amazing in this show, and it is clear that they view one another as brothers/best friends on and off the screen, and the season 11 premiere felt no different.

This new season looks amazing based off the premiere, darkness has defiantly fallen and one of the brothers is in immediate peril [naturally], but in reality, they both are.

I loved the flash backs to Dean having a conversation with “Darkness” in the thick fog that covered a town. There was an interesting dynamic there and I can’t wait to see what becomes of it.

Then we had poor Sam ‘in the dark’ so to speak, and infected with the dark virus that has been infecting people all over the town – looking like some kind of rabid zombies. I have no idea how they plan to get out of that one! I mean we always fear for their lives on this show, at least one of them dies or almost dies every season, but they always manage to find a way out of it – so I am choosing to stay optimistic. However, if the time line adds up to the others they have witnessed with the virus he only has a matter of hours!

My favorite part of the episode – the nice twist ending where they revealed the mark on the little baby girl they work of valiantly to save from the dark virus infested hospital. I mean, what!? She reincarnated into a baby…that they just happened to save, nope this was all in her dark plan.

There is no way that Dean will be able to part from the baby, since they are “connected”, as she put it.

I’m eager to see how long it takes before Dean sees the mark on the baby, and what will happen to Sam.

I dread the day the show will finally end, but even if it’s now, I can make peace with it – it has been over a decade after all.
